Tim Thimios let me visit his place in early December 2001.  He had just
received some fish on an order from Kitti Phanaitthi of Kitti Discus Farm
in Thailand.  (much easier getting to Tim's than Kitti's).  Here are some of
the photos I took during my visit.  Tim also raises and sells bonsai trees
too.  Hopefully I'll be able to visit Tim's place again sometime later.

(click on the small photos below for an enlarged view - note that the enlarged view
will be in a new window; close the new window first before proceeding to the next
small photo, or else the new window will be hidden from view.)

Snake Skin #1 Snake Skin #2

These are the snake skin discus.  In general, the finer the lines, the
more sought after the snake skin pattern is.  Tim had just fed these
fish some mysis shrimp, so their bellies are full.

Marlboro Red #1 Marlboro Red #2

These are some of the marlboro red variety of discus from Kitti.

Tong Thai #1 Tong Thai #2

"Tong Thai" is the name of this variety of golden discus.  These
are photos of younger fish - about 2.5" (about 6.4 cm) in length.

Blue Diamond #1 Blue Diamond #2

These are two photos of the Kitti blue diamond.  Although blue
diamonds aren't as popular as they were 5+ years ago, they are
still one of my favorite color varieties.  I think the solid blue sheen
is very attractive.

Red #1 Red #2

I've forgotten what the name of this red variety is.  They may be
more marlboro reds.  Tim has a separate filter and heater for
each tank.

young snake skin Kitti Pigeon Blood

The fish on the left are young snakes skins.  They were about 2.5"
in length (about 6.4 cm).  The fish on the right are the pigeon blood,
which made Kitti Phanaitthi famous.

Red Turquoise #1 Red Turquoise #2

These are some of the red turquoise discus that Tim has.  I'm not
sure if these are from Kitti or not.  Unfortunately, camera flashes
tend to make red turquoise discus look brown. :(

Bonsai #1 Bonsai #2 Bonsai #3

Obviously these aren't varieties of discus, but I wanted to show
some of the photos of the nice bonsai trees that Tim has to offer.

These photos were taken by Walter Wu and these are not for public distribution
(ie. posted on other websites) without permission.
