These pictures were
taken mid July from the Borumba Dam wall (first pic below). At first I saw one leichardti close to the bank, but as I walked further out there were numerous fish which were huge. This area is a no boating area so there is no fishing pressure in this area. In total there was about 15-20 fish cruising just below the surface. All of which were easily 70cm (28in) or more in length. Most were cruising by themselves or in pairs, however there were also groups of up to four. As the wind picked up and caused the surface to ripple, the fish swam deeper. However they were not there the next day. I'll have to bring my canoe next time I visit. For anyone planning to visit, there is a nice camping spot and fish display nearby.
